Update your angling arsenal with some of the deadliest creations from JJ’s Jigs. The Zonker Series Jigs will not only work for both smallmouth and largemouth bass, but walleye, pike, stripers, trout, salmon, steelhead, and muskie on your favorite waters. Large soft plastic baits have become very popular in recent years, my rabbit strip Zonker jigs are much more lifelike and durable than soft plastics. These jigs will catch plenty of awesome gamefish for less than half the price of most "big box" store lures and silicone skirted mutant creations.
The Walleye Zonker Jig:
Dean Vanderberg used a JJ's Walleye Zonker Jig to catch this huge 'eye in the Youghiogheny River near McKeesport, PA.

The Walleye Zonker Jig is a vibrant pattern and is a Walleye anglers dream-lure. Also, it's great for those "toothy critters" (the Pike and Muskie) that lurk deep and strike hard! Its zip, zings, dives, and darts throughout the water. JJ’s Jigs Zonkers are made with a classic rabbit fur strip for pulsating streamer-like action. Chartruese has proven itself as one of the top producing colors and its soft fibers shimmy and shake in the water. This bright chartruese color trigger strikes and is easy to track as it swims in the water. The minnow-like streamlined profile and realistic flash collar is a major attractor for large predatory fish.
The Sculpin Zonker Jig:
Charles Moffit caught a tremendous lake-run brown trout on a JJ's Sculpin Zonker Jig, November 2010.

This is a big meaty morsel for a fish! Sculpins like to live against shaded banks in about three feet of water. This is therefore a prime feeding location for predatory fish. Cast your Sculpin Zonker Jig tight into the bank and give it time to sink. Then twitch the lure to make it wriggle along the bottom a good six inches at at time every five to ten seconds. By taking your time and doing this while using an overlapping casting system it enables the zonker to be seen by nearly all the bass, trout, pike, and muskie in front of you. Trust me, these fish love to eat Sculpins!
The "Mad Tom" Zonker Jig:
Rob Policasto with a great smallmouth bass using the Mad Tom Zonker Jig, 2011.

This is a jig that all anglers need to add to their bass tackle boxes if they truly wish to get serious about catching bass. You should see the "Mad Tom" Zonker-Jig in the water!
It swims deep and gives the angler the ability to catch bass in deep areas. The live Mad Tom's (as known as: baby catties, Tonies, Margined Tommies, Stonecats, or Stone Catfish) are usually found in the bottom cobblestones of tail outs of riffles. This jig will certainly turn a smallmouth's bass or pike’s attention and take their abuse.
It is very durable and ready for immediate use in areas of thick cover where other lures tend to get hung up in weeds. Best of all, when really waterlogged and streamlined it does looks like a baby catfish, or a big fat worm or leech! So leave your baitcan at home and try the "Mad Tom" Zonker on your favorite waters.
