About us at JJ’s Jigs
Hi! I'm Dave. I'm the guy that makes your jigs and flies!
I would like to start by thanking you for visiting our store today. Welcome! We are glad you stopped by!
We are truly family owned and operated. Our dedicated family team of spin fishing and flyfishing anglers can be found 300 yards from the North Branch of the Susquehanna River. We live, work, and especially fish here in the heart of the beautiful Endless Mountains of North Central Pennsylvania.
JJ’s Jigs was founded in 2008 by Dave and Karin Pelachik as an excuse for Dave to fish more and get paid for it, which of course... backfired. Now he works 6,000 hours a week at his fly and jig tying bench, unless he’s out fishing... product testing! Being a quick study, it took Dave exactly three days to figure out a company is really about its customer, so this is the last time you’ll hear of any of the we’re-so-awesome, company-centric, rah-rah dreck from us and where we turn this whole thing back on the folks who really matter. YOU!

Lance is our offical River Pro-Staffer for JJ’s Jigs. He has been bass fishing all of his life and fishing the North Branch of the Susquehanna River is truly his passion. Also, on our team is Mike Brown. He is our official Stillwater Pro-Staffer.
That's because Mike really set the bar high and developed a true niche to our JJ's Jigs line-up. He found out that not only to JJ's Jigs work in creeks, streams, and rivers. But.... they totally ROCK in ponds, lakes, 'ditch-trickles', and impoundments. You should see all of the pictures we sends me of slab crappie, 'gills, perch, pickerel, and largemouth bass! All on JJ's JIgs. It's truly remarkable... and so is Mike's fishing skills!
Anyway, back to what we do best....
Our mission is to make fishing products that we think are the very best on the market. We don’t carry any “junk” stock like some other larger online stores and we personally design and hand-tie all of our own jigs and flies in-house to ensure that the quality of our products are unbeatable. If we carry it, it’s because we believe in it... and because it works, and works WELL! We think our Jigs and flies blow all the other stuff on the market - completely out of the water!
We also maintain a great relationship with organizations that provide conservation to our wild fisheries that hold both cold and warm water gamefish. Here at JJ’s Jigs our family takes pride in our civic duties and conservation efforts. We are members in the following groups: North Branch Smallmouth Alliance, Trout Unlimited, Federation of Fly Fishers, North Central Pennsylvania Conservancy, Project Healing Waters and Bradford Counties own Project CLEARWATER for Youth Flyfishing & Flytying.
Not only does Dave give lessons on flyfishing and flytying, he also does seminars on various flyfishing topics. On the local scene he writes for the Dirtbag Flyfishing Posse Blog. He also and is on the outdoors sportswriting staff of The Daily Review Newspaper. He writes a weekly fishing column that is published every Sunday. Other regional publications have ran his articles such as Susquehanna Fishing Magazine and the We Live Outdoors in Pennsylvania Magazine. He even has been published nationally in flyfishing's own Bloodknot Magazine.

I would also like to send a special thanks to my beautiful wife, Karin, for being so supportive of this little adventure we now know as "JJ’s Jigs" and for bringing my two best boys into the world; Joshua and Joel (The two "J’s" in JJ’s Jigs) and dealing with the constant mess of fur and feathers all over the carpet and my jig making and fly-tying bench. I love you, Karin.
