When you positively need to catch a fish...  accept no substitutions!  The Booger Jig Series has body hackle that moves and pulsates in both current and slack water. Its long tail and myriad of striking colors gives these jigs multiple presentations of many aquatic lifeforms such as baitfish, crayfish, nymphs, large hellgrammites, and leeches.   It acts alive in all types of water conditions.  Anglers can take perch, trout, pickerel, bass, carp, chubs, pike, walleye,  muskie, shad, stripers, and even steelhead on this jig.  It’s a must-have staple for your angling arsenal.

The Black Booger Jig:

Our best selling color in our series of Booger Jigs.  In any type of water conditions...  this jig produces!  Plain and simple!  More anglers contact me with feedback about double (and sometimes triple) digit boated fish on the Black Booger Jig than any other style and coloration of the jigs I offer.  Just take a look at the
JJ's Hall of Fame.  'Nuff said!

You can't beat a Booger Jig when it comes to trophy game fish!  Just ask Greg Bacorn who caught this 29" Muskie in November 2011 on a Black Booger Jig.

His smile says it all!  You can catch big hog smallies with a black booger jig!

The Olive Booger Jig:

A classic pattern that mimics general forage food baitfish and emerald shiners.  This jig is a favorite among anglers who fish the West Branch and Mainstem Susquehanna River.  As well as diehard walleye anglers on Lake Erie and and Lake Ontario.  I've had a lot of success fishing the Olive Booger Jig in North Central Pennsylvania and the Southern Tier of New York for trout.

As you can see this jig works well on the North Branch Suskie too!

The Baby Bass Brown Booger Jig:

A contrast of dark, medium, and light browns that create a fantastic "alive" jig.  Even though we call it the "Baby Bass", this jig carries the attitude of the big boys.  The numerous shades of brown seem to be a color combination that bass can't refuse.  I have found that it excels during hot midday periods when the bass will hole up in the shade for cover.

I have used this color combination extensively on low water conditions in creeks and at large river runs that gradually tail out to shallow gravel banks. It imitates not only a baby bass fry, but numerous minnow species, baitfish, large nymphs, and salamanders that tend to congregate in slack areas of water and along current breaks.  One of our best colors and top sellers!

The White "Electric" Booger Jig:

JJ’s White Hair-Jig aka "The Electric Jig"  is a white Hair-Jig with a touch of added flash.  This white color can really turn on the bass, perch, pike, trout, salmon, steelhead, and muskie. It resembles nothing in nature when it’s perched on my vise, but when it’s soaking wet and on the move, it truly comes alive!   Give it a shot if you’re fishing in waters where the fish have seen everything thrown at them.  White is and has been a staple color for almost every gamefish species targeted by anglers.  The underside of almost all forage fish is white.  The 'Electric Booger Jig' is designed for situations where the fish will be looking for baitfish.

Steve Rogers says; "There are three factors to Steelheading. One - Confidence, Two - Persistance, and Three - JJ's Jigs White "Electric" Jig!  Once again, JJ's Jigs got the job done and produced this 14.5 pound Chromer!"

The "Firetail" Booger Jig:

A JJ's favorite to fish.  A bright attracting pattern that will intice savage strikes.  The "Firetail" Booger-Jig has barred chartreuse and brown body hackle with a touch of Krystal Flash at the tail.  It moves and pulsates in both current and slack water. Its long tail gives this jig an ample mouth full and creates large silhouette for big fish to strike at!

Its coloration will help you see your lure even in muddy water.  Its brightness is amazing to see as your jig move in the depths. Since you can see it cut through the water, when it is slashed at you can anticipate the strike without worrying about missing your fish.  It acts alive in all types of water conditions

Lance was on fire using the "Firetail" Booger Jig!

The Purple "Iris" Booger Jig:

In the mid-1990’s I lived in the Pacific Northwest. This area wasn’t noted for its stellar bass fishing so I adapted to fishing for Cutthroat & Coastal Trout, Pacific strains of salmon; Chums, Chinooks, Cohos, Sockeyes and Steelhead. The “Purple Iris” Booger-Jig is a variation on The Purple Peril Steelhead fly that originated in the 1930’s by Washington State angler Ken McLeod.

Since coming back to the Endless Mountains of Pennsylvania I have found that it definitely works on bass as well as walleye, large trout, and Lake Erie Steelhead. It’s continued popularity with local anglers today reinforces the old adage that it doesn’t matter what color your jig is, as long as it is purple!

John Hallstead with a pair of awesome Lake Erie Walleye taken on 1/4oz. Purple Iris Booger Jig.

Our "Iris" Booger-Jig is the "bad-assed twin" to our Black Booger-Jig.  Here at JJ’s Jigs we like to tie this pattern with a large thick blood-quill marabou tail and sparse wispy saddle hackle before the jig head.    It gives a sleek presentation during those twilight hours on the water.  The chenille has a sparkle effect running through the fibers so this bait will shine in the light of the sun or in the light of the moon!

Dave Lansforde who caught this Steelhead on Ohio's Conneaut Creek said; "JJ's I used your Purple Booger Jig under a float while Centerpin Fishing and caught my very first Steelhead.  I've gone Steelheading over 8 times are used bait, egg sacs, soft plastics, and flies.  But your jigs gave me the first productive day fishing for Steelhead.  I caught 4 more Chromers; 2 bucks and 2 hens all on your Purple Jig.  It's amazing!"

It's my favorite night-fishing jig to use.  It has been designed to replicate a favorite color scheme of night time anglers.  That color scheme is black-purple-blue, often referred to as "blurple".  This jigs presents a bold profile in low light to full dark conditions.  As well it presents an equally bold appearance in deeper water, where the last color of visible light to disappear is blue-purple.  Try this jig in heavily stained water where a strong silhouette is desired.

The Two-Toned "Riddler" Booger Jig:

The two-tone Black and Chartreuse Riddler Booger Jig is a super-versatile all around jig and is extremely effective on Muskie, Pike, Walley and both Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass.  The vivid contrasting colors will trigger strikes and make this a top producing jig in any type of water condition.  This is a unique pattern and you won’t find this jig anywhere else.

11/27/11 - Even in 38F to 40F degree cold November water, 'The Riddler" Booger Jig  takes the 19-inch walleye and 17-inch smallmouth.  You don't have to put your rods away when it gets cold.  JJ's Jigs will make those cold river fishing days...   HOT!!!

I have been asked why I call it "The Riddler" and it’s simple answer.  My eldest son
Joshua is a big fan of the ’Batman’ movies and when he saw this jig produced for the first time he exclaimed: "Awesome!  That looks just like the costume colors of the Riddler in the Batman movie!"  As you can see much to my chagrin... the name stuck.  Get yours today!

The "Autumn Splendor" Booger Jig:

Karin and I love the Fall season.  It is our favorite time of year. (it was the season that we met each other... eons ago)  In honor of fall, I named this new pattern "Autumn Splendor".  The coloration reminds me of the wonderful time of year when her and I fell in love... and of all the leaves changing!  Burnt Orange and Brown colors that make a striking contrast in the water. Here at JJ's we are extremely excited about his awesome new jig.  This will be a fish catching winner!!   Be one of the first anglers to use this new JJ's Jig.  Send us a photo of your catch and we will put your pic below the jig picture.  I'll make ya famous!
